On the 11th and 12th of June, participants of the 2nd work package entitled «System Design and Process Optimisation» gathered in Mainz at the Johannes Gutenberg-University Mainz, which is the leader. This work package is determining the suitable lignin sources and required pre-treatments, identifyng appropriate materials, conditions and design for electrolytic lignin conversion, establishing a valid and cost efficient work up strategies, and finally building reactors at lab scale.

Many partners participated in this meeting, 10 in total, as this is a core work package that will determine all future aspects of the project.
